Q1) I’m 16 yrs old girl. I want to lose 10 kg within 1.5 months. My current weight now is 58 kgs. I’m 5 ft 5’ I want to reduce my weight to 48kg. Could u guide me on how can I reduce my weight by consuming healthy diet?
Ans.1) To reduce your weight you have to cut down on intake of fat [oil-ghee] sugar and salt. Increase fibre which you get by having whole wheat atta, dalia, oats, bajra, jowar etc.Whole dals like chana, soyabeans and raw vegetables like cucumber, kakdi, cabbage and capsicum contain fibre which is helpful in keeping a proportionate weight. Eat small meals at 3-4 hour interval but make sure you do not skip any meal. Drink water after every one hour; eat salads and fruits before meals.
Q2) I’m 19 years old girl and I presently weigh 70kgs and my height is 5ft 6’. I’m bulky on the bottom and thigh area. I would like to know what my ideal weight should be and how I can maintain a balanced body?
Ans. 2) Ideal weight for you will be 65 kg. Do regular exercises, walk, jog run and do a lot of lower limb exercises. Reduce your fat intake Eat small meals at 3-4 hour interval. Do not skip any meal .drink water after every one hour, eat salads and fruits before meals.
Q3) Please advise and suggest effective measures for reducing bulging stomach of a 35 year old woman with a hectic outdoor job. I’m 5 ft 8’ and I weigh 70 kg.
Ans. 3) You can start by correcting your posture while you sit, always sit with your tummy tucked in and do a lot of deep breathing. Do not drink water along with meals. Have water half hour before or after your meals. Do not feast or starve yourself. Do not give long gaps between your meals.
Q4) I'm 45 yrs old man. I love to drink tea with milk (full fat) with sugar and also like to eat other sugary foods & use coconut milk powder for cooking. I drink tea 3 times a day. I'm highly worried about my daily fat intake but I hate the taste of non-fat milk. Please suggest a suitable alternate.
Ans. 4) You can remove cream from whole fat milk once, use sugar free or you can use dried kali tulsi powder for some sweetness. If you are using coconut milk then avoid using oil for tadka in your vegetables. Steam vegetables in microwave or cooker then put masalas & coconut milk .
Q5) I am 34 years old man. My height is 5 ft 11’, weight 85 kg, I am a non-vegetarian. I have a good personality. The only problem is my pounch and cheeks. Can I get rid of this excess fat? Workouts are not my cup of tea.
