Aditya Narayan exploring new horizons |

"Aditya Narayan says music is in his blood, but he wants to go beyond playback "
An album with Universal Music, as yet untitled, will soon be out and Aditya Narayan wants it to do well. “This is going to be a very unconventional album in the way it was created,” says the rather cocky youngster when we meet up.
.
“I have a group of musical friends and we kept jamming at a studio belonging to one of us and gradually made 200-plus songs. For this album, we have selected songs from these.” Aditya is unhappy with the non-film music scenario in every sense. “Pop music in India or Indipop as it is called, is stagnating – you see only film songs and albums displayed or being sold in stores.

Sales of independent music have dipped and even on television or radio they are nowhere in terms of airtime. I agree that the quality has gone down - for years now, we have had nothing like a Deewana from Sonu Niigaam or Aap Ka Suroor (the album, not the film) from Himesh Reshammiya. Logon ka albums mein interest jaa raha hai. I want to try and revive that.”
Quite an all-rounder, Aditya’s first brush with cinema was his hit songs, Chhota baccha samajhke from Masoom, Yai re from Rangeela and Akele Hum Akele Tum’s title-song followed by many others, besides his acclaimed performances in Pardes and Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai.
