As
the pop diva struggles with problems of her personal life
and the aftermath of her performance at the MTV VMA's, her
new album's release seems to be the only saving grace in
her life. Britney
Spears' new album
titled 'Blackout' which will be her 5th studio album,
is due in
stores October 30th,
2007,
and it will be her first full-length studio album since
2003. Incidentally the record label, Jive Records, says
that the title of the album refers to blacking out all negativity
and embracing positive things in life. Owing to internet
leaks the release date of the album has been shifted to
October 30
th, and the cover art and the track
list have also been announced

First Single "Gimme
More" Is a Hit
The first single from
the upcoming album is "Gimme More".
It has already charted higher than any of her singles since
the first hit "...Baby One More Time" hit #1. The pulsing
dance-pop single produced by Timbaland collaborator Nate "Danja" Hills.
Album Collaborators
In addition to Nate "Danja"
Hills, a wide range of collaborators on Blackout have been
reported in various outlets. Sean
Garrett, well known for his work with Usher and Chris Brown, has
been mentioned frequently in the press. The team of Bloodshy & Avant have
reportedly produced 3 tracks for the album.
