Alternate and yet identical to everything
you have heard, Incubus is one such band which can give
sound to your emotion. Incubus rose to become one of the
most popular alt-metal bands of the new millennium, setting
themselves apart from a crowded field with a somewhat less-negative
outlook and tireless touring. Formed in 1991 in the San
Fernando Valley suburb of Calabasas, CA, group members Brandon
Boyd , Mike Einziger, Alex Katunich , and José Pasillas
were all tenth grade classmates when they got together.
Their early funk-metal sound was heavily influenced by the
Red Hot Chili Peppers, but broadened over the next few years
to incorporate thrash, rap-metal, post-grunge rock, and
grinding alt-metal à la Korn or the Deftones. By
the time the group graduated from high school, they had
already been playing all-ages shows around southern California
on a regular basis. In 1995, Incubus added hip-hop turntablist
DJ Lyfe to their lineup and recorded the independently released
album Fungus Amongus. Incubus hit the road with a vengeance,
opening for bands like Korn, Primus, 311, Sublime, and Unwritten
Law.
This band has evolved into a more mature and
musically acclaimed band with their fresh new sounds which
followed every album of theirs.
Out on a touring the world and tearing down
the stages Incubus is one band which can turn heads over
and over again. |
