Mirza-Sahibaan love story to come alive on silver screen with the beautiful Sonam Kapoor as "Sahibban".

Director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra wants to capture the Mirza-Sahibaan love story with the charming Sonam Kapoor as Sahibaan.

The popular Punjabi romantic tragedy Mirza-Sahibaan, if goes as planned, will captivate the audience with Sonam as Sahibaan. The essence of Saharan's beauty has been touched to such heights in the saga that when she stepped out of her home, nine guarding angels died on seeing her beautiful face.

What is interesting is that till date no Bollywood movie has been made on this romantic saga. Sonam herself was instrumental in the process of sowing the idea of making a film on this theme during the shooting of Delhi 6. The lady was confused w hen Rakeysh, who loved pampering Sonam, started calling her Sahibaan on the sets one day.But later, after getting the history behind the name, she became interested in the subject.

But before Rakeysh sets to make it in a film with lavish budget, the script has to be penned. Sonam being a Punjabi like Sahibaan is sure tocarry the role of the ethereal Sahibaan with aplomb. Her grace and beauty are surely an added asset.

But who will be her lover Mirza? Rumors add that Rakeysh may repeat Abhishek Bachchan as Mirza in the film after 'Delhi 6'.
