Will "My name is Khan" get released in 2009?

If rumors are to be believed, "My Name Is Khan" might not release in December 2009.

The release of joint production of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions' and SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment's might get postponed now to early 2010.

The main reason behind the delay is pointed towards the tiff going on between on going producers v/s multiplex. Nearly two and a half months have been wasted due to the strike and has created a heavy rush of releases at the box office. Most of the earlier scheduled big ticket June releases are now coming either in July or in August.

With the shuffling of heavy dates, there may be a change in release date for "My Name Is Khan" as well and be pushed ahead by a week or two. Saif-Kareena-Vivek Oberoi starrer "Qurbaa" has been planned for a November end release.

MNIK was scheduled for a mid December release where as Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" releases was due to release at least two weeks later..

KJo and SRK would be able to squeeze in their film in between Qurbaan and 3 Idiots. But a safer way out m would be to release it in early 2010."
