LINKIN PARK
BAND PROFILE

VOCALS: Chester Bennington
GUITARS: Brad Delson
EMCEE: Mike Shinoda
ELECTRONICS SPECIALIST: Joe Hahn
DRUMMER: Rob Bourdon
BASSIST: David " Phoenix " Farrell

A hybrid theory is what gave birth to this band that mixes nu-metal and hip-hop grooves together to bring an amalgamation completely original and yet so musically adept that it appeals to both the genres and gives due respect to them individually.

Catapulting to fame in 2003 with their debut album HYBRID THEORY in 2000 this motley group of youngsters set the world raging with the new approach that they threw out.

After the success of their debut album they moved on with an electronic/hip-hop retake of the ever so successful first album and christened REANIMATION. Although the album received a mixed response yet it highlighted the versatility and ingenuity of these musical pioneers.

The high pitched vocals of Chester Bennington have the energy to take all the fans to a higher plane and matched equally by Brad Delson’s powerful guitar riffs the two make a deadly combo. Mike Shinoda adds the hip-hop groove with the assistance of a hybrid style of drumming by Bourdon. Farrell is more than adept to handle the mixed stylings that make up this band.

With their initial and unexpected success LINKIN PARK were completely thrown off and completely absorbed in the mainstream performing in over 320 concerts in the span of just around one year!!!

METEORA brought back LINKIN PARK and accredited them with another hard-hitting album true to style. Fans mushroomed around the world after listening to tracks like “Somewhere I belong.”

As a band this group has grown up and come a long way from just being some kids who got together to jam once in a while to now being pros in what they do best.

The future is bright for LINKIN PARK with their concerts overflowing with fans dying to catch a glimpse of their favorite act. Lets hope they continue to deliver as they surely have found the right place where they belong.
