Dr. Nirja Chawla

Dr Nirja Chawla a postgraduate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi is a senior gynaecologist well known in the country. Recipient of several awards, Dr. Chawla has had the honour of being bestowed with R Vishwanathan Gold Medal from the President of India for the Best Medical Graduate of the year. With a Diploma in Gynae Endoscopic Surgery from Staten Island University Hospital, New York, USA., she has been a Consultant at Post Graduate Institute, Chandigarh.

Passionate about her work, Dr. Chawla has pioneered Gynae Endoscopic Surgery in the region in addition to her keen interest in hormonal problems and infertility among women. Dr. Nirja’s sensitivity towards social causes led her to associate herself with the Indian Red Cross as Surgeon Director. She has also counseled and given talks on Anaemia, General Health, Hygiene, Sex Education and conduct for school and college girls besides having written numerous articles in local dailies and expressed her views for the general public on FM radio programmes and TV s on important Gynae issues.

At present Dr. Nirja Chawla is running her own Gynae Endoscopy Centre in Chandigarh and is a Senior Consultant at various Multi Specialty Hospitals.
