Shaitan

The promos suggest that 'Shaitan' is about the devil inside each of us. But it's actually about human trash, who're hardly evil and only end up committing crimes as casually as they swing into a song. If there is any devil in this world, it is the red bird that slingshots itself to spell doom for pigs.

Ready

Having said that, the film, it must be confessed, doesn’t really offer even diehard Salman fans the fun-quotient expected from the mega-star. Too many people colonise this domestic comedy. Boisterous uncles, over-dressed aunties, under-intellectualised gangsters and irksome henchmen are all greedy to be noticed. The trouble is, they aren’t doing anything that is terribly exciting or engaging, except playing the foil to the star of the show.

Kucch Luv Jaisaa

Shifaali Shah is decent but gets hyperactive with her expressions at times. Rahul Bose carries a forced accent and seems uncomfortable in his character of a small-time crook. The talented Sumeet Raghavan doesn't get much scope. Neetu Chandra speaks through her lipstick.

This dull film ends up being Kucch TV serial jaisa!

Pyaar Ka Punchnama

The film is an anti-rom-com and director Luv Ranjan rightly doesn't waste much time in establishing the romance between the characters. The initial few minutes of the film are fresh and enjoyable. The problem in the film arises when the couples start facing problems in their respective relationships. All the tracks drag to no end. While the first half is still bearable, the second half just goes on and on. The best part of the second half, infact the entire film, is the 5-minute-long hilarious monologue by Rajat. He perhaps echoes the thoughts of each and every boy who's in a relationship.
